Maree’s defence of the u- 18 men’s National Cup continued with a comprehensive 78-33 quarter-final win over Killester of Dublin in Calasanctius Gym on Sunday.

A great weekend for Galway basketball was complete late Saturday night in Castleisland Kerry, when Maree advanced to two National Cup finals.

John Greene (1 Carlow GC) won the 1st nett on 150, while the 1st 18 gross was won by Joe Lyons

So Cow is essentially Brian Kelly who is originally from Galway but who has also spent time in South Korea where some of his early records were made. To date he has released an EP called Best Vacation Ever and in 2006 he released two albums titled These Truly are End Times and I Am Siding with My Captors.

The senior club hurling semi-final between Ballyhale Shamrocks and O’Loughlin Gaels last weekend left the ‘Gaels men disappointed as the Shamrocks pushed forward into the final against James Stephens.
